Booshaka is What Happens when Facebook, Google and Twitter have a Baby

Last week, Facebook announced the release of the OpenGraph API.  The announcement marked an important advancement, one in which Facebook becomes the defacto social fabric of the web.  Yesterday, we were tinkering around with ideas on how we can leverage the social connections and data on Facebook to create interesting, engaging user experiences.

Today, we’re announcing the launch of Booshaka, the first social search engine built on the Facebook Platform.  We believe, even in its current form, that the results are very compelling.  Try searching for current events such as the NBA playoffs and see what people are saying about King James or Kobe.  Need to know if your favorite TV show is a re-run tonight?  How about what people are saying about the latest Goldman Sachs fiasco or the Arizona legislation outrage?  The information is relevant, real-time and helpful.

This is only the beginning of what we’re doing with Booshaka— give us a break, we built it fast :)  Expect many exciting things to come.  And, please fill out our customer survey and let us know how we can improve the product!!
